The NAF-Torex is a High-Performance butterﬂy valve that is ideal for isolation, on-off and rotary modulating control with metal-to-metal or PTFE seats. A special disc profile eliminates abrasive sliding action when the disc opens and closes, thereby ensuring a longer service life while the high seat angle ensures that the disc closes without tending to stick. It comes with the standard Zebra-CL™ live loading stem packing which when used with an Inconel seat will give you a standard process valve with a maximum temperature of 250oC that also complies with EN ISO 15848-1 for fugitive emissions.
Standard PTFE lined stem bearings for applications up to 250oC means that there are low operating torques for all control positions so that smaller actuators can be used. With the NAF modular concept, you do not need mounting brackets and it can easily be converted in the field from a shut-off valve to a control valve by fitting the direct mounting NAF-Turnex double acting or single acting control actuator. When fitted with the factory standard direct mounting NAF-D30 Intelligent Valve Positioner, calibration is simple and fast. Advanced / Premium diagnostics ensure you can monitor valve performance. An optional air block can be fitted to connect the positioner to the actuator so that external piping that can easily be damaged is a thing of the past.
With optional wafer or lugged versions the NAF-Torex is well suited for applications within the process industry. The unique design with a patented disc profile, when fitted with metal seats gives a sealing class of IEC 534-4, Class V and soft seats EN 12266-1, Rate A.
