The SIP Automatic Recirculation (ARC) Valve protects pumps during minimum flow conditions and is ideal for applications with pressures between 120 and 250 bar in systems with continuous operation, even at load points below the pump minimum flow requirements. The SIP controls the bypass by means of a multi-stage piston, which enables a defined multi-stage pressure reduction for all flow rates and also guarantees cavitation-free operation at all times. The piston of the SIP is actuated directly by the plug via a lever, where the pressure is balanced to reduce the actuating forces. By means of pressure compensation, the actuating forces are reduced to such an extent that a pilot system (as with the SMA /SHP high-pressure series) is not required. With its properties and design features, the SIP is particularly suited for the protection of boiler feed pumps in combined cycle power plants (CCPP) as the bfw-pumps operate frequently at minimum flow conditions as well as it’s purpose to cover peak loads in the energy grid.  Contact one of our technical specialists for a quote today or download the brochure to learn more.
